Citadelle de Besançon
Launching the fortress into contemporary culture

A base of diverse and vibrant culture, the Citadelle de Besançon called for a communication campaign to bring more structure to its different directions. Being already well known and loved by the locals, it needed to redesign its image to achieve the wider influence that it deserves.

In 2017, Royalties designed a new identity for the Citadelle, which showcases its numerous assets: their remarkable architecture – this contributes to it being a UNESCO World Heritage site; the stories it tells, from the past and the present; its cultural dynamism, through temporary events and exhibitions... The result reflects an active and awakened Citadelle, whose tales affect and open up reality.
